Vaccines are claimed by doctors to be highly effective and useful when combined with other vaccines. Amidst the common misconception that multiple vaccines can be harmful to children, having different vaccines at the same time are discovered to carry no great risk or any harmful side effects to a child. Aside from being safe, there are two main reasons for giving children multiple vaccinations during the same visit to a doctor. First, parents want to immunize children early in order to protect them at the soonest possible time since children are always exposed to different foreign antigens everyday. Another reason is that having multiple vaccinations is practical since this would mean lesser visits to the doctor. This could save time and money for the parent and could alleviate trauma for the child.
