I have Scoliosis and had correctional surgery in 1989 for a 76º thoracic curve, I now have a harrington rod from T5 - L1.

I did not have a brace because my curve was over the 50º mark where surgery is considered for Scoliosis, I did however, have a plaster cast for 7 months post surgery.

Yoga for Scoliosis helps, along with the Bowen Technique (proving to show good results so far) and Pilates, good strong core muscles are great for those with twisted spines. I do Yoga on a regular basis (weekly) and it really does help some of my pains, I swim regularly also.</description>
